OPTIMUM ROUTING (Optional Extra)
Seatrack Optimum Routing calculates and displays route options by reference to the yacht's polars, a GRIB (weather) file and the tidal database. It indicates the optimum course and alternative courses linked by isochrones (lines of equal time) for the relevant leg, thus providing the tactician/navigator with essential information on tactical options.
To give a complete picture of the tactical scenario, the Optimum Routing function can be animated to show the boat moving along the best course, while adjusting the wind and tidal data display over time and geographical position.
