Updates
Seatrack continues to be developed in terms of functionality, versatility and ease of use.
Innovative new functions and enhancements are continuously being devised and released to existing Seatrack clients by way of version updates. Recent examples of such enhancements include the introduction of AIS, two-boat race analysis and the expansion of remote display options.
Version 6 Enhancements:
- AIS (Automatic Identification System) introduced
- Two-boat race analysis introduced, showing control boat vs. competitor
- Zoom control improved, giving the option of zooming on existing screen centre or around a particular selected point
- Direct access to the internet via Seatrack introduced
- Start Line calculations improved, allowing for acceleration, deceleration and rate of turn
- Start Line enhanced to give choice displaying distances in boat lengths or nautical miles
- Start Line calculations refined to take account of the angle of the boat and all measurements being taken from the bow
- Numeric data from Seatrack made available on a PDA
- Extra custom data outputs to Tacktick instruments introduced (Version 6.1)
- Improved user interface for selection of remote data output (Version 6.1)
Updates cost 18% of current retail price (e.g. cost of update for Cruiser as at September 2006 is £36 + VAT).
